Ways to Donate to the East County Senior Center

Donating gives you an opportunity to change people's lives, including your own. The Mission of the East Count Senior Center is to promote the physical, emotional, and economic well-being of older adults and to promote their participation in all aspects of community life
If you believe in this and you believe it is important for our community to have a Senior Center then you need to support the center.







There are many ways in which you can donate. Here are some ways that you may help to support such a needed organization for our community.

Legacy Society

Become a member of the Legacy Society
The ECSC is grateful to Legacy Society members who have invested in the center's future through planned gifts. As a Legacy Society Member, you can help ensure the Center's financial security while benefiting your estate plan.
This Endowment is for the continuation into the future for the East County Senior Center.

Volunteering

Volunteering gives you an opportunity to change people's lives, including your own. If you're feeling frustrated or overwhelmed by the news, volunteering to help can be a great way to cope. If you'd like to support a cause but can't afford to donate money, you can donate your time instead. We at the East County Senior Center can always use your help. If you have a special gift, hobby or trait come see us and lets share that with others.

Membership

Any age and anyone who would like to support the Senior Center. Our youngest member is 5 years old.
You don't have to attend everything you just need to show your support for the Senior Center and one way is becoming a member.

The Auction

You can donate an item. Give of your time in planing. Help find donation items.
This is our biggest fund raiser of the year and it takes a lot of people to put it on.

There are almost 1,000 copies of this 12 page newsletter that is printed and mailed or handed out each month.
What better way to reach seniors in your community. Seniors vote and shop in their community.

Thrift Shop

Do you have some items that the Thrift Shop could sell.
We love Jewelry, Fancy Pots, Nice Nic-Nac. Did you know Diamonds are always good?
No we can't sell your car, well maybe. Does it run? Just don't throw it out until our Thirft Store Experts have a look at it.

Rent the Center for one of your events

The Center is available for rent Monday through Thursday after 4 pm. All day Saturday and Sunday evenings. Some day times may be available. Please call or stop in for more information.

Attend an Event

Most of our events are for the community not just the seniors in our community.
Who doesn't like to listen and dance to the Big Band Sound. We have 3 dances a year that are attended by the very young and the young at heart. Pancake Breakfast, Community Garage sales, Plant Sales, Jewelry days, Spa days and the list just keeps on coming. Oh and Flu shots (well not an event unless you make it one but you can see we do other things for the community too).

Just call the center and ask for the Director or the Administrative Assistant and give them your Credit Card and the amount you want to donate

Donations to the ECSC are tax deductible expenses. These donations can reduce your taxable income and lower your tax bill. Not everyone will be able to deduct their charitable contributions, however. You will need to itemize your tax deductions in order to claim any charity.
